2017 Ocular Melanoma Foundation–AACR Fellowship Awarded to Vivian Chua


Dr. Vivian Chua Award

The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson is pleased to announce that Vivian Chua, PhD, has been awarded a 2017 Ocular Melanoma Foundation–American Associate for Cancer Research (AACR) Fellowship for her project, “Novel Epigenetic Targeting Approaches in Uveal Melanoma.”

This one-year, $50,000 grant recognizes the significant impact of Dr. Chua’s research, its relevance to the mission of the AACR, and her potential as a future leader in the field of cancer research. Dr. Chua is a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Andrew Aplin, PhD, in the Department of Cancer Biology.

As a new grantee, Dr. Chua (on right) attended the AACR Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on April 4 to formally accept the fellowship award at the AACR Grants Reception and Dinner.
