Breast Cancer Disparities Conference
Susan G. Komen
April 5, 2016
Celeste Vaughan-Briggs, LCSW, Oncology Social Worker and Manager of the Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program at Thomas Jefferson University’s (Jefferson’s) Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center was invited to participate in the Roundtable discussion at the upcoming Susan G. Komen’s Breast Cancer Disparities Conference on April 5, 2016.
It is clear that Breast cancer knows no boundaries –be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location. Komen is reaching out to national and local leaders through a series of Roundtables in communities across the United States to collectively discuss barriers, opportunities, needs, priorities, and, above all, solutions to improve African-American breast cancer outcomes.
We are very proud of Celeste for being invited to participate and for all her work to decrease barriers and improve patient care .
